No Above-Ground Burial, No Natural, Green Burial
One Casket/Urn per plot
Exception: Can have two urns per plot, if plot is purchased at a cost of 1 ½ times the normal cost of one plot.
Vault required for casket burial, min-vault required for urn burial
No landscaping around gravesite due to difficulty in mowing. For all flowers, use planters or a shepherd’s hook for hanging baskets.
No tree planting, no figurines, no flower bulbs without prior approval by Cemetery Board.
Vandalism to your monument is your responsibility. Your homeowner’s insurance should cover the damage.
Annual cleanup day is the Saturday prior to Mother’s day. Please come out to help. Old floral arrangements should be removed by May 1
Monument Restrictions:
Height – Maximum four feet from the ground
Side to side –
For single plot (4 feet wide), must have six inches of grass on each side of concrete base
For double plot (8 feet wide), must have twelve inches of grass on each side of concrete base
Width – Maximum of two feet
Row A to W monument placement – West end of plot facing east
Cost is $700.00 for one plot
Staking fee of $100.00 will be charged:
When marking location for burial
When marking location for monument placement
Winter Burials – if snow removal is required, cost is for account of family
The Mill Centre Cemetery does not receive any State or local funds. It is managed by volunteers. Any donations are welcomed to assist with maintenance and repair costs, etc.
